The Resort is set against an inimitable backdrop of fabulous Mismaloya Bay. The beach has over 16,800 square feet of light golden sand in the private bay of Mismaloya.  A small bay just for you where the set of the movie "The night of the Iguana" remains as a beautiful reminder of the romance between Liz Taylor and Richard Burton.

The sun is always there for you to enjoy, just the way you like it. Lie in the sand, swim in our river or under the waterfalls.  Explore the jungle on horseback, or jeep safari. ACCOMMODATIONS

La Jolla de Mismaloya features 303 ocean view suites with private terraces distributed between two towers with a wonderful view of the bay.

All suites have private balconies with terrific views of the bay, modem access, two telephone lines, electronic door lock, electronic safety box, T.V. with remote control, minibar, coffee maker, iron, hair dryer and "sweet dreams at La Jolla" mattresses specially designed for the hotel.

• El Patio Restaurant:  Casual, located near the swimming pool, in front of the sea. International cuisine.  Opens from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Piano Music during breakfast.
• La Iguana Italiana Restaurant:  The most succulent pasta and Italian specialties.  Open for dinner from 6:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
• Beach Club:  Light food and the best pizzas just taken from the hot wood fired oven.  Open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
• The Sets of The Night of the Iguana Restaurant:  Modern Mexican Food, located at the high edge of the hill, facing the ocean and surrounded by exuberant vegetation of this famous area, offers spectacular view of the bay of Mismaloya.  Open from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with Mariachi
• John Houstons Restaurant:  Located over a large rock with wonderful view of the Bahia de Banderas inspiration to the legendary director of the film La Noche de la Iguana. It offers seafood specialties.  Open from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.

Theme Dinners

• Mexican Fiesta:  Saturday 7:00pm-10:00pm  The most colorful Mexican Fiesta takes place every Saturday night. You can go "native" under the stars and select from the sumptuous buffet of Mexican delicacies. Enjoy the mariachi, colorful folk dances and the lights of the Mexican Fireworks.  Enjoy a Mexican Fiesta with a colorful and marvelous atmosphere, live folklore show, cock fight exhibition, fireworks and mariachi music. Mexican buffet dinner and drinks are included.
• Pool Party:  Tuesday 7:00pm-10:pm  Every Tuesday, casual party by our pool area. Enjoy the traditional beautiful nights at Puerto Vallarta while dancing and tasting the delicious buffet with salads, grill and drinks included

Nannies are available upon request for $10 US per hour.
