The All Inclusive Resort Meliá Caribe Tropical is the newest resort of Punta Cana, composed of the two hotels Meliá Caribe & Meliá Tropical it offers 1,044 rooms all in all. The complex spans 500,000 m2 on the shore of the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic, with only 145,000 m2 built, and surrounded by palm trees and lush vegetation. The resort is ideal for families, golfers, weddings, as well as meetings and conventions. The Meliá Caribe Tropical is located right on Bávaro beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of the island: about 40 km of white, fine sand, uncountable palm trees and crystal clear blue water. 500 m of the beach are exclusively reserved for the hotels´ guests. Punta Cana International Airport is 20 minutes away, Higuey 40 km, La Romana 90 km, and the capital, Santo Domingo, is 195 km far away from the hotel.

ACCOMMODATIONS

The resort comprises 44 two-story bungalows with a total of 1,044 lavishly appointed rooms. Each bungalow offers two connecting rooms, rooms with king size beds or rooms with 2 double beds. All the rooms are Junior Suite-style with aprox. 42 m2, for a maximum of 3 persons or 2 adults plus 2 children, respectively. All rooms have been decorated in an elegant Caribbean style with warm tropical colors, and have central air conditioning, ceiling fans, safety deposit box, work area with IDD telephone, color satellite TV with remote control, minibar supplied as a welcome with soft sodas and beers, living area with sofa-bed or couch and arm chair, furnished balcony or terrace and fully equipped marble bath with hair dryer.

• "Agora Grill" and "EL Turei": Beach Restaurants located just a few steps from the swimming pool and right on the beach offering sandwiches, hot dogs, salads and other snacks

• "Los Panchos": buffet-style restaurant with Mexican specialties and show cooking, open for dinner
• "Capri": dinner time Fish and Sea Food Restaurant a la carte

• "Hokkaido": Japanese restaurant with three special rooms with Teppanyakies, at your disposal at dinner time

Please note: Although the All Inclusive rate allows you to choose between "buffet-restaurants" and "a la carte restaurants" at dinner time, a previous reservation is required for the a la carte restaurants.

The resort complements its installations with a boutique, pharmacy, jewelry, souvenir & press shop, Cigar Salon smoking room with a wide range of cigars from all over the world to choose from, doctor upon request, baby sitter upon request, launderette, rent a car and rent a motorcycle, 24 hours taxi service, and possibility to book a wide range of optional excursions: diving, snorkeling, deep sea fishing.
