the Dock of the Bay Bar & Restaurant every day is a
celebration, whether it's champagne with new friends or simply
savoring the international and local dishes served in this
beautiful oceanfront setting. |

Start the day with a delicious breakfast
buffet where you can choose from a wide variety of fresh local
fruits, cereals, breads, cheese, pancakes, French toast, bacon
and eggs freshly made to order. It's your choice whether you
want to wake up early or take it slow as the breakfast buffet is
available to you from 7:00am – 10:30am. |
 Lunch
is served from 11:30am until 2:30pm with a selection of salads,
sandwiches and burgers to choose from. It's the perfect time to
catch the activity happening on the dive dock directly below
you. |

At the end of the day, come join our Happy
Hour everyday from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. Visit with friends at the
Pool Bar and recapture the days events while enjoy refreshing
tropical drinks. If you're among the lucky, you might even see
the famous green flash as you watch a beautiful island sunset.

 In
the evening enjoy your views of the darkening horizon followed
by the moon rise as you peruse the menu, deciding between our
chefs international dishes, the fresh catch of the day or the
hearty "extra special" - all served between the hours
of 6:00pm - 10:00pm. There's plenty to choose from, but be sure
to save room for a slice of Key Lime Pie or a dish of homemade
fresh fruit ice cream.

Every Sunday night is Grill Night
at Buddy Dive's Pool Bar, where diners can watch their meat or
fish selection being grilled right before them, while they
finish their first course of homemade soup and special salad.
On Wednesday evening we host a
sumptuous buffet with all your Mexican favorites: black bean
soup, tacos, fajitas, enchiladas, refried beans, flavorful
salads, tasty sauces & condiments, & dessert! The
Buffet, which begins at 6:00pm, also features a live Mariachi
band.
And don't miss out on Thursdays
Pasta night, which features several varieties of pastas and
sauces, all served at the Pool Bar.

 Every
Friday you're invited to join us at our Managers Rum
Punch Party, a lively event with snacks and free rum and fruit
punch from 5:30pm - 6:30pm. Dance to the live music of the fun
and fabulous Moogie
until it's time for a dinner break at 7:00pm. Complete the
evening by joining us for our famous All You Can Eat Barbecue,
featuring steak, fish, chicken and ribs accompanied by a variety
of stews, salads and rice dishes, soup, and of course, dessert!
It is a feast you will not want to miss and will clearly deserve
at the conclusion of your dancing! |
 On
the third Monday of each month, keep the night open to
partake in our unique Japanese Street Cafe. Enjoy multi-course
meals featuring dishes such as Miso Soup with Tofu and Nameko
Mushrooms, Tricolour Nori-Rolled Sushi, Yellow Fin Tuna and
Salmon Sashimi, Sake-Simmered Sweet Potato, and Green Tea Ice
Cream. The menu will vary from month to month, but there will
always be plenty of traditional Sake and Green tea on hand. |

More than two decades ago Joop, Yvonne and Debby Rauwers,
founders of Buddy Dive, began to build their dream resort. Subsequently, in
early 2002, Bonaire residents Martien and Ingrid Van der Valk became the proud
new owners of this very special property. Today the resort is complete with four
modern buildings housing spacious one, two and three bedroom apartments, a full
service dive center, activity desk, two swimming pools, restaurant, pool bar,
vehicle rentals and the famous drive-thru air and Nitrox fill station. Built

BONUS FEATURES
While Bonaire is well known for its diving, there are many
other activities available ranging from active programs to more leisurely
pursuits. At the Dive and Activity Center they have the information
you'll need to discover the activity that is right for you! A member of the Dive
Staff is in the Center to answer any questions you may have, as well as to
assist you with recommendations on where to go and what to do. The Center is
also where you can sign up for the resorts weekly activities.
Here are a few of the activities we might suggest:
| Snorkeling: Bonaire may be
known as a "divers" paradise, but snorkelers will be happy to
know they could spot over 75 different species of fish along the shallow
reef terrace alone! |
| Snorkeling is a perfect activity for
the whole family. But if you haven’t tried it yet, no problem! Our
Dive Instructors will make you comfortable in the water in no time flat
with our Skin Diver Certification course. Children as young as five can
try their hand at breathing compressed air while remaining safely afloat
with a special flotation vest, air tank, regulator and tank pressure
gauge all integrated into one lightweight system when renting our SASY
(Supplied Air Snorkeling for Youth) equipment. So what are you waiting
for? |

| In addition to a weekly boat snorkel
trip, Buddy Dive also offers several guided snorkeling tours. One is
along the edge of the mangrove forest, which serves as the
"nursery" of the ocean. Among the highlights are the three
inch long Barracuda and the bottom dwelling upside down jellyfish.
Another equally appealing tour involves a night snorkel amidst the
famous Town Pier piling. Abundantly decorated with sponges, these
pilings serve as a colorful background for their nocturnal inhabitants.
Other tours combine snorkeling with activities such as kayaking or cave
exploration. |

| Cave Exploration: Bonaire has
many cave systems, some are dry and others have lakes and tunnels. Here
at Buddy Dive we offer you a unique opportunity to explore these ancient
wonders with their majestic stalactites and stalagmites. We even offer
you the chance to snorkel underground in the crystal clear water housed
within. |

| Sport Fishing:
Slowly but surely Bonaire is starting to become known as a sport-fishing
destination. There are several good outfits that can take care of the
most spoiled fisherman. Do not expect the seven story high flying bridge
boats, rather somewhat smaller boats, with crew that are even more eager
to catch fish than the paying customer is. Try it and you’ll find out
Bonaire has it all: Marlin, Tuna, Wahoo, Dorado, and even great bone
fishing! |

| Kayaking: This
is one of the most popular activities on Bonaire, and there are all
sorts of ways to experience it. Take a guided kayak tour through the
mangroves or to nearby Klein Bonaire. Combine the Klein trip with a
guided walk and exploration of the island, or a snorkel along the island
shallow terraces - a perfect place to spot turtles at rest! Or go for a
leisurely paddle and explore on your own as you tour the coast in front
of the resort. |

Mountain Biking: Miles
and miles of trails have been laid on Bonaire specifically for this
sport. Literally around every hilltop there are different vistas to
enjoy. With such a wide variety of routes to choose from, we're sure to
be able to put together a tour that best suits your interest and fitness
level.
And although there's not much traffic on Bonaire
to begin with, this sport really allows you to get away from it all!

Windsurfing: The
trade winds on Bonaire are legendary, providing for the most stable
winds in the world and making the nearby area of Lac Bay famous as a
top-notch wind surf destination.
We schedule weekly introductory classes with one
of the local outfitters at Lac for those with limited or no experience
in the sport. So if you have ever thought of trying, now is your chance.

total relaxation is what you had in mind, you'll have plenty of time to
bask in the sun, swing in a hammock and maybe enjoy a good book. We have
a wide selection of books available in our Dive and Activity Center in
