BONUS FEATURES
WATERSPORTS
Renaissance Island provides a unique combination of watersports for
guests to enjoy. In addition to swimming, snorkeling and diving, there is
tranquil kayaking, water bikes, paddle boats and waverunners. There are also
floats and a catamaran ride that's fun for everyone can be arranged. The
watersports program on Renaissance Island is managed by Red Sail Sports.
Fishing, sailing and underwater adventures are also available at the resort's
full-service marina.
DIVE
Renaissance Island provides the
best dive experience, not only in Aruba but perhaps the entire Caribbean. As a
matter of fact, Skin Diver Magazine named Aruba " The wreck-diving capital
of the Caribbean." And, we have our own wreck right off the shore of
Renaissance Island. Our dive operation is managed by Red Sail Sports.
"Straight out from
the Renaissance Aruba Beach Resort &
Casino's private island, lies a wreck of a different sort – the Renaissance
Airplane, a fully intact fuselage of a Convair 400. Confiscated by Aruba's law
enforcement during a drug smuggling takedown several years back, this
twin-prop aircraft (similar to a DC-3) sits upright and remarkably intact on
the bottom at a depth of 45 feet. Surrounded by an array of corals and
colorful sponges, the plane's airframe is a provocative sight, especially
since visibility on this side of the island averages between 60 and 100
feet."
NATURE
If you enjoy strolling through
beautiful mangroves, tropical wildlife and the crystal clear Caribbean sea, then
you will love Renaissance Island. Here you will find nature walks that will have
you face-to-face with some very interesting natives of Renaissance Island. You
will find Iguana's, Parrots, Flamingos and more on this lush 40-acre tropical
island. And, don't forget Renaissance Aruba Beach Resort &
Casino is also home to Queen Wilhelmena Royal Park.
